Measuring Chain & Signal Processing
Features:
- Base model designation for the high-sensitivity dynamic pressure sensor series
- Indicates a factory-integrated, 2-meter (6.6 ft.) mineral-insulated (MI)
- Terminated with a specialized Vibro-Meter high-temperature connector
The core function of this sensor is to perform long-term, continuous online monitoring of pressure pulsations in harsh environments such as gas turbine combustion chambers. It boasts an extremely high charge sensitivity of up to 750 pC/bar and excellent high-temperature resistance, operating stably at temperatures up to 520 °C. This enables it to capture sensitive combustion instabilities and acoustic oscillations in industrial environments in real time.
In order to provide accurate data in the operation of complex large machinery, its internal structure has been specially optimized to minimize its sensitivity to mechanical acceleration (lateral and axial vibration), thereby effectively filtering out false interference signals caused by background vibration.
The CP235 143-235-000-012 Vibro-Meter Dynamic Pressure Sensor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The raw output signal of the CP235 is a high-impedance static charge. To process it and integrate it into a factory monitoring system, a standard Vibro-meter® loop architecture must be used:
Charge Amplifier/Signal Conditioner: Located downstream of the IPC704 signal conditioner. The IPC704 converts the pC charge output into a linear, low-impedance current signal (typically transmitted over two wires).
System Interface: Signals from the IPC module are routed directly to a mechanical protection system card, such as a VM600 MPC4 card or a distributed VibroSmart® module.
