This module provides six independent analog input channels, enabling simultaneous connection and monitoring of standard 4–20 mA current signals from multiple field sensors. It is typically used in auxiliary industrial processes outside the core control unit, responsible for real-time distributed acquisition and monitoring of critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow.
As a core component of the LINKnet distributed architecture, this module utilizes a single NetCon core control module for centralized power supply and network management. Each network relay can connect to up to 60 I/O modules. This design allows users to easily and cost-effectively expand the system's input channels without purchasing expensive, high-performance NetCon dedicated I/O modules.

This module, acting as a distributed I/O node, connects to the main controller (such as the Woodward NetCon control system) via twisted-pair cabling, significantly simplifying field cabling and reducing installation costs.
Large-scale topology: The LinkNet network, driven by a single NetCon module, can be divided into four independent network trunks, each supporting up to 60 I/O modules.
Functional focus: The LinkNet module primarily handles non-turbine core control tasks with relatively low speed requirements, such as data acquisition, sequential control, and routine monitoring.
Signal Conversion and Network Communication. During operation, 4–20 mA analog current signals generated by field sensors are first input to the various channels of the module. The module's internal circuitry filters and performs analog-to-digital conversion (A/D conversion) on these current signals, converting them into digital signals recognizable by the control system. Subsequently, the module (i.e., an independent node in the network) securely and efficiently transmits the processed digital data to the NetCon master controller via the LINKnet distributed I/O network relay, thereby enabling remote monitoring and data interaction.
