Information

Overview Manuals Principle Primary Applications

Features:

  • 3300 NSv Extension Cable
  • The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible
  • 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System
The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. The NSv probe offers superior chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, making it suitable for a wider range of process compressor applications. The 3300 NSv probe also exhibits superior side-view characteristics compared to the 3000 series 190 probe while maintaining the same distance from the probe target.

Each 3300 NSv extension cable comes with silicone tape, which can be used as a replacement for connector protective sleeves. However, it is not recommended to use silicone tape in situations where the probe and extension cable connection will come into contact with turbine oil.

The 330930-040-00-00 Bently Nevada 3300 NSv Extension Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 3300 XL NSv sensor system has an average scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), which is the most commonly used output value for eddy current sensors. Its enhanced side-view and small-target characteristics result in a shorter linear range than the Bently Nevada 3300 XL series 5 mm and 8 mm sensor systems. Its 1.5 mm (60 mil) linear range surpasses that of the 3000 series 190 sensor system.
Confined Space Monitoring: Particularly suitable for situations where standard 5 mm or 8 mm probes cannot be used due to "side-view" or "back-view" limitations.
Small Shaft Vibration: Ideal for measuring radial vibration of shafts as small as 30 mm (1.2 inch) or 51 mm (2 inch) in diameter, where signal accuracy is often difficult to guarantee.
Axial Position Tracking: Used for small planar targets (as small as 13-15 mm) to monitor shaft thrust in centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors.
High-Fidelity Signal Transmission: Ensures accurate data transmission of key phase signals, tachometer readings, and zero-speed measurements in hydrodynamic bearing machinery.
