Information

Overview Manuals Main Features Key Applications and Features

Features:

  • High Voltage DC Power Supply
  • 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies
  • Uses the High Voltage DC Power Supply and the High Voltage DC Power Input Module (PIM)
The Bently Nevada 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies are half-height modules and must be installed in designated slots on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can contain one or two power supplies with any combinations of AC and DC. Either supply can power a full rack.

When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the one in the lower slot acts as the primary supply, and the other in the upper slot acts as the backup supply. If installed, the second supply is the backup for the primary one. Removing or inserting either power supply module does not disrupt operation of the rack as long as a second power supply is installed.

The 3500/15 114M5330-01 Bently Nevada Power Supply Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies accepts a wide range of input voltages and converts them to voltages acceptable for use by other 3500 modules. The following power supplies are available with the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System:Universal AC Power/High Voltage DC Power Supply/Low Voltage DC Power Supply
  1. Machinery Protection: Provides robust power support for the Bently Nevada 3500 rack, widely used in the oil and gas, power generation, and petrochemical industries.
  2. Redundancy Support: The 3500 rack can accommodate two power supplies; with the second power supply installed, it can serve as a hot-swappable backup, ensuring zero downtime during main power failures or maintenance.
  3. Condition Monitoring: Supports real-time data acquisition by powering vibration, temperature, and speed monitoring modules.

Ask our team:

  • What role does the 3500/15 114M5330-01 play in the Bently Nevada 3500 mechanical protection system architecture?
The 3500/15 114M5330-01, as a system-level power module in the Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring platform, provides regulated DC power to rack-mounted monitoring modules, ensuring stable power supply for vibration, displacement, and condition monitoring instruments.
  • How does the 3500/15 114M5330-01 achieve redundant power supply? What fault-tolerant topologies does it support?
The 3500/15 114M5330-01 supports dual redundant power supply configurations, enabling hot standby operation. This means that when one module fails, the other module will take over the load, thus maintaining uninterrupted system availability in mission-critical mechanical protection environments.
  • What voltage regulation and power conditioning mechanisms are embedded in the 3500/15 114M5330-01 to ensure signal integrity of downstream modules?
The 3500/15 114M5330-01 integrates a tightly controlled DC-DC converter circuit with a filtering stage to suppress ripple voltage, transient spikes, and electromagnetic noise, thus ensuring a clean power supply for sensitive monitoring modules.
  • What diagnostic telemetry and status indication functions are built into the 3500/15 114M5330-01?
The 3500/15 114M5330-01 provides real-time operational diagnostics via front panel indicator lights and a system communication bus, enabling monitoring of input power status, output health, redundancy status, and internal fault conditions.
  • What transient protection and surge suppression strategies are implemented in the 3500/15 114M5330-01?
The 3500/15 114M5330-01 integrates overvoltage protection circuitry, transient suppression devices, and surge current limiting mechanisms to protect the module itself and downstream monitoring components.
