The 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor system is suitable for centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other equipment with stringent installation requirements.

This system is primarily used in the following hydrodynamic bearing machinery applications. The 3300 XL NSv sensor system is designed to replace the 3300 RAM sensor system and the 3000 series or 7000 series 190 sensor systems.

When upgrading from a 3300 RAM system to a 3300 XL NSv system, existing probes, extension cables, and monitoring systems can be used with the 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor. When upgrading from a 3000 Series or 7000 Series sensor system, the probes, extension cables, and proximity sensors must be replaced, and NSv components must be used.
Primary applications of the 3300 XL NSv sensor system include situations where the standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 mm and 8 mm sensor systems cannot be used due to limitations such as countersunk holes, side-view, or rear-view. Additionally, the system is suitable for measuring the radial vibration of small targets, such as shafts with a diameter less than 51 mm (2 inches) or the axial position of planar targets with a diameter less than 15 mm (0.6 inches).
