- Supports serial or Ethernet communication through separately identified rear I/O modules, with 10 Mbps 10BASE-T specified for Ethernet.
- Provides a configurable Modbus register utility; a 3500/90 replacement must account for differences in its former primary-value register arrangement.
The 3500/92 136180-01 is the communication gateway front module for a Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring rack. It gathers the measurements and operating status available from installed monitor channels and makes those data accessible to external automation and information systems. Supported communication functions include Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP and Bently Nevada host communication, with the physical interface determined by the selected rear I/O module. Ethernet uses the documented 10BASE-T connection, while serial options provide RS232, RS422 or RS485 as specified for the I/O. The gateway includes a configurable Modbus register utility and front-panel status indicators. When integrating or replacing a unit, the register map, rear-interface number and firmware compatibility must be checked together; matching only the front module number is not sufficient to define the complete communication assembly.
Manufacturer reference: Bently Nevada 141542 Rev. N. The front-module part number does not automatically include the rear I/O module, accessories or installation approval.

Select RS232/RS422, RS485 or the specified combined Ethernet/serial I/O according to the connected control system. The 136180-01 front module does not identify that rear-interface choice.
Configure the required register assignments for the rack data. Although the gateway supports the earlier 3500/90 communication functions, its configurable utility differs from the old primary-value register arrangement.
Newer rear I/O can require an upgrade to older front-module firmware. Verify the need for 126M4118-01 before replacing only one half of the communication assembly.
