The IC693PWR331 is a GE Fanuc 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) module. This module is a high-capacity power supply, providing three output voltages to meet different functional requirements.
The IC693PWR331 also features an RS485 communication interface. This port allows connection to a workstation with GE Proficy software installed for configuration. Additionally, this port allows connection to a handheld programmer (HHP) and other devices supporting the RS485 communication standard.

The IC693PWR331 is equipped with LED indicators to report the module status and the status of components connected to the device. It features PWR, OK, RUN, and BATT indicators. The power supply also includes a backup battery to maintain the contents of the PLC's volatile memory. The BATT indicator displays the battery level to determine when the battery needs to be replaced. The battery connection terminals and input terminal blocks are mounted on the front panel, behind the revolving door.
- High-Power Rack Configuration: Its "high-capacity" feature means it can output its full 30 watts of power to the +5V output as needed. This is ideal for racks filled with high-power modules, such as high-speed counters or complex communication cards.
- DC-Powered Control Cabinet: Suitable for chemical, food, and energy plants where control systems are powered by nominal 24V DC (2 to 30V DC range) or nominal 48V DC (38 to 56V DC range) batteries or power buses.
- Relay and Input Power: In addition to the back panel, it provides a +24V DC relay power supply for output relay modules, and an isolated +24V DC power supply for powering external 24V field input devices.
- Remote Diagnostics: The built-in RS-485 serial port on the front panel allows direct connection to a computer or handheld programmer for system configuration and troubleshooting.
