Application Technology Advantages
Features:
- RTD input module from Horner Electric
- Designed for efficient temperature monitoring
- This module supports six channels, each providing precise temperature readings
This module offers six channels, allowing for flexible integration with various temperature sensors. Each channel boasts a maximum update rate of 50 channels per second, ensuring timely data acquisition. In terms of power consumption, the module consumes only approximately 75 mA of current under a 5V DC supply, achieving efficient operation.
This module is particularly suitable for the PT-100 RTD, as the PT-100 RTD typically operates at an average current of 330 µA, meeting the requirements for accurate temperature readings. A significant feature is its robust fault protection function, implemented through a Zener diode clamping circuit, thereby enhancing reliability.
The HE693RTD600T General Electric RTD input module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Multi-type Flexibility: A single module can handle mixed environments because it natively decodes different sensor configurations (e.g., platinum Pt100 sensors for high-precision cleanroom environments, and copper Cu10 sensors for heavy-duty industrial motor windings).
High Density and Rack Space Saving: Integrating six fully isolated high-resolution channels into a single slim GE 90-30 slot eliminates the need for multiple external DIN rail transmitters, saving costs.
Fast Response Loop: A scan rate of up to 50 channels per second provides fast response data for high-speed PID safety loops (e.g., triggering automatic system tripping when turbine bearing temperature suddenly rises).
