CC-TDOD51 is the nonredundant Series C IOTA used with Honeywell's CC-PDOD51 24 VDC sink-output module. The matched assembly supports 32 open-drain output channels, rated up to 0.1 A per channel, with a common return and selectable internal or external field-power arrangement. The IOTA has a nominal 9-inch size; the electronic IOM and any additional hardware must be specified separately.
CC-TDOD51 is the nonredundant IOTA specified for Honeywell's CC-PDOD51 sink-type digital output hardware. Its job is to provide the termination and connection arrangement between the electronic module and the field circuits. The complete assembly supports 32 outputs, with a maximum channel load of 0.1 A, and is intended for compatible low-current equipment interfaces, solenoid valves and interposing relays. All outputs share a return and a selected field-power source, which must be considered when assigning circuits and reviewing the installation.
The field supply may come from the Series C system or an externally connected 24 V source, as determined by the IOTA wiring arrangement. Honeywell's 1000 VAC RMS system-to-field isolation rating is qualified by the use of user-supplied field power; it must not be presented as independent isolation between every output. The associated IOM provides configurable latched, pulsed or pulse-width-modulated operation and a channel failure response. Before replacement, record the power-selection wiring and output configuration, confirm the actual load currents, and test the affected equipment commands under the approved site procedure.
The matched assembly uses sink/open-drain outputs rather than sourcing outputs or isolated relay contacts. Each channel is limited to 0.1 A, with a published maximum load voltage of 30 VDC. Check the receiving interface and load current, including its operating characteristics, before connection. The nominal 24 VDC description does not mean that an arbitrary 24 V solenoid or contactor can be driven directly.
All outputs use a common return and the same selected source. The IOTA wiring option determines whether the circuits are referenced to the internal Series C supply or to an external field supply. Honeywell specifies 1000 VAC RMS system-to-field isolation when user-supplied field power is used. Preserve the approved supply and return arrangement; do not describe the channels as mutually isolated.
The associated Series C IOM supports a per-channel FAILOPT selection: retain the last commanded value or shed to a user-configured safe value. Latched, pulsed and pulse-width-modulated modes are also channel settings. These functions require the matched electronic module and control configuration; they are not processing features inside the bare IOTA and do not by themselves establish a safety-rated function.
Evaluate each field circuit against the 100 mA maximum channel load and the 30 VDC maximum load voltage. Honeywell lists a typical off-state voltage of 24 V and a maximum off-state leakage current of 100 µA, so a sensitive receiving device must be checked for the required off-state behavior. The outputs share a return and are not voltage-free contacts. Where an interposing device is used, verify that its input is compatible with sink/open-drain switching and remains within the documented electrical limits.
The published maximum turn-on and turn-off time is 10 ms for the matched output hardware. This figure does not establish the total response time of a controller program, network, actuator or process. Preserve the required latched, pulsed or pulse-width-modulated channel mode and review whether loss of control should hold the last value or shed to a configured safe value. After changing the IOTA or reconnecting field wiring, verify the selected power source and test each affected command and de-energized state using the approved commissioning procedure.
CC-TDOD51 is listed in Honeywell's December 2021 Series C specification. A current exact-model OEM lifecycle notice has not been verified, so this page does not assign an active, discontinued or end-of-support status from the historical document alone.
Moore Automated confirms actual stock allocation, assembly marking and supplied condition in the quotation. CC-TDOD61 is the separately documented redundant IOTA, not an asserted drop-in replacement; any change of arrangement requires an engineering review of the IOM, termination and field wiring.
