The ICS Triplex TC-301-02-10M0 (part of the Rockwell Automation/ICS Triplex Trusted Core Safety series) is an extra-long local extension and communication cable assembly designed for Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) critical control systems. As a key component in distributed hardware architectures, this assembly primarily establishes a high-speed, seamless physical communication link between Trusted TMR extension processors (such as the T8310) in the main rack and extension interface adapter units (such as the T8312) in remote racks.
The TC-301-02-10M0 features remote fault-tolerant signal relays and physical link diagnostics, meeting the highest industrial safety certification standards such as SIL 3. Its main unit is equipped with a dedicated 96-pin Type-C industrial connector (with a double-width protective back cover and a dedicated safety grounding braid), and extension terminals connect to high-precision 12-pin LEMO fasteners, ensuring plug-and-play functionality and safety locking even in harsh, high-vibration, and high-noise industrial environments. To overcome signal attenuation during ultra-long-distance transmission (up to 10 meters), the component undergoes rigorous physical calibration during manufacturing to achieve impedance matching, inter-channel isolation, and signal gain characteristics.
The TC-301-02-10M0 ICS Triplex Local Expansion Cable, 10m may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

In large industrial plants (such as oil refineries or nuclear power plant control rooms), the size of safety-critical loops, such as emergency shutdown (ESD) or fire and gas (F&G) systems, often exceeds the structural load-bearing capacity of a single controller enclosure. The TC-301-02-10M0 is a heavy-duty data connection cable for extending this architecture, enabling long-distance transmission. It outputs fault-tolerant, high-speed backplane signals directly from the T8312 Extender Interface Adapter (XIA) located in the main control rack and transmits them to the T8310 Extender Processor Module (XPM) installed in a remote local expansion enclosure.
This cable, available in lengths up to 10.0 meters, is particularly suitable for expansion racks that need to span multiple independent remote control cabinets or traverse complex overhead cable trays.
Chassis A (Processor Side): Features a robust 96-pin C-type female connector with double-width heavy-duty shielding and integrated grounding protection. This connector securely locks onto the front panel of the T8310 expansion processor.
Chassis B (Interface Side): Features a high-integrity 12-pin LEMO precision push-pull round metal connector. This cable securely locks onto the T8312 port, forming a connection unaffected by strong field vibrations and capable of withstanding the physical pull of 10 meters of cable.
The advanced shielding performance of the Cat 6 Plus conductor prevents signal attenuation or electromagnetic interference (EMI) during long-distance transmission, ensuring the system maintains strict SIL 3 functional safety voting loop timing boundaries.
