This type of Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with analogue or digital input modules and is suitable for connecting input signals from an internal FTA to the module. The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with two 96-way type ‘C’ connectors housed in a double-width hood.
The other end of the cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘R’ connector housed in a single-width hood enabling the cable to be connected to an FTA. The multi-core cable is stripped back 1.5 m at both ends, then shrouded in nylon Rilgain sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are heated or fitted with over sleeving to help prevent fraying.

At both the chassis and remote end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth. At the remote end, the multi-core screen drain is wired to a green wire to allow connection to screen earth.
Chassis Grounding Integrity: Both ends of the chassis and the target FTA panel feature dedicated built-in braided sheaths, allowing direct connection of the heavy-duty metal connector housing to the system's safety ground bus.
Shielded Drain Isolation: At the remote termination, the multi-core internal shielded drain wire is clearly separated into a single green conductor. This conductor must be tightly connected to the instrument's shielded grounding node to reduce common-mode electromagnetic noise.
Application Limitations: As this product is an internal version (TC-201) rather than an external version (TC-203), it lacks heavy-duty external industrial armor. It must be completely housed within an adjacent interconnect control cabinet and must never be exposed via external wiring.
