The FZ800R16KF4 operates similarly to a high-speed electronic switch. Its IGBT structure utilizes a low-power gate signal to control a large collector-emitter current. When a gate voltage is applied, the device allows current to flow through the collector-emitter path to drive the load; when the gate signal is removed, the current is rapidly interrupted. Integrated diodes provide freewheeling during switching, enabling efficient pulse-width modulation voltage and current control in high-power conversion systems.
