Signal Transmission & Integration
Features:
- Designed for medium temperature industrial applications (-55°C to +120°C)
- Shear mode operation, therefore no output due to thermal transients
- Hermetically sealed for harsh environments
The CE 680 M411 is an all-purpose vibration sensor designed for use in harsh industrial machinery environments. It uses the industry standard 2-wire voltage transmission technique with a 4 mA constant current supply. The output signal has a sensitivity of 100 mV/g.
Thanks to the accelerometer's isolated ground and Faraday shield, no ground loops or frame voltage are present to disturb the measurement. The CE 680 M411 shows extremely low noise levels and exceptional bias voltage stability at elevated temperatures.
The 444-680-000-411 Vibro-Meter Industrial piezoelectric accelerometer may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Like all components in the older CE 680 series, this particular part number is discontinued. According to Meggitt's official vibration sensor replacement notice, the entire product line has been phased out and replaced by the upgraded CE 620 platform (new basic part number 444-620-000-011).
This sensor employs a constant current modulation design to ensure that the original vibration signal remains clear and undamaged during long-distance transmission (typically exceeding 1000 meters). It is typically connected to a field cable of the EC318 or EC319 series vibration meter and then directly connected to a VM600 rack system or a standard mechanical protection monitor.
