The RCM32 unit serves the function of metering analogsignals and converting them to digital signals for dataexchange with MODBUS communication interface. It isused as the hardware unit of remote metering of ESD2000Substation Supervisory & Control System. It is alsoapplicable for other intelligent system in which the remotemetering of analog signals, like current, voltage, power,temperature, pressure and humidity etc, is required.
The RCM32 unit allows the simultaneous collectionof 32 0-20mA AC/DC or 0-2.5V DC analog signals.The unit is connected to the upper computer withan RS485 bus, and utilizes Polling for data exchangeto reflect the value of the metered object on areal-time basis.

The bus is in the two-wire half-duplex RS485mode, capable of supporting up to 32 RCM32units. The Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) is used forconnection between units.
The communication interface is based on high-reliability lightning-proof port chips, which arecapable of suppressing the transient overvoltage on the circuit resulting from lightning and othercauses, thereby preventing damage to the interfaceand improving communication reliability.
The data transmission is based on the CRCcirculating redundancy calibration which greatlyimproves the data reliability and enhances its anti-interference capability.
This product is specifically designed for heavy-duty utility monitoring and substation infrastructure, featuring enhanced industrial-grade hardening properties and supporting an extended operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. It fully complies with international CE and RoHS safety and environmental standards for electrical control equipment.
