Features:

  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes
  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
  • 330101 3300 XL 8 mm Probe, 3/8-24 UNF thread, without armor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

The 330101-00-49-90-02-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
Bently Nevada 330101-00-49-90-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
Linear sensing spectrum: Reliably maps motion within a 2.0 mm (80 mil) linear gap displacement range over the target area.
Standard system sensitivity: When used with the matching 3300 XL proximity sensor, it produces a clear 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm) output signal.
Physical materials: The probe tip is molded from high-stability polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), and the threaded housing is molded from AISI 304 stainless steel.
This probe configuration uses a 9.0-meter (-90-) cable and is designed for direct connection to a 9-meter proximity sensor without any intermediate extension cables. If an extension cable is accidentally added to this 9.0-meter probe, the total electrical length will reach 14 meters or more. This will cause eddy current resonant tuning mismatch, completely destroying calibration and forcing the mechanical protection monitoring system to track inaccurate gap voltages or trigger an “abnormal” fault circuit.

If you are currently replacing an existing probe on your machine housing or planning downtime for maintenance, please let me know if you need assistance finding the part code for a matching 9-meter proximity sensor in your current distributor inventory, or if you need a torque guide to ensure a secure tightening of the lock nut threads on the extra-long housing.

Technical notes
