Product Information:

The Bently Nevada 330103-00-25-05-02-BR is an industrial-grade 3300 XL series 8mm eddy current proximity sensor probe. As a core hardware component of Bently Nevada's (a brand under Baker Hughes) condition monitoring systems, it is primarily used near the hydrodynamic bearings of rotating machinery such as large steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, axial fans, and water pumps for non-contact, precise measurement of rotor radial vibration, axial displacement, differential expansion, and critical phasor velocity.

The name Bently Nevada 330103-00-25-05-02-BR uses a long string of numbers to correspond to its high-precision modular hardware configuration: 330103 indicates that its housing is a standard M10×1 metric external thread housing; the prefix -00 indicates no non-threaded parts (fully threaded structure); -25 indicates that the total length of the stainless steel housing is 25 mm, making it an ultra-short housing ideal for concealed, compact installation in extremely confined bearing housings or thin-walled housings. In practical industrial control circuits, the Bently Nevada 330103-00-25-05-02-BR probe tip is encapsulated in high-strength polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), while the housing is precision-manufactured from 303 or 304 stainless steel (SST).

It can withstand long-term high-temperature corrosion under lubricating oil immersion and high-pressure sealing environments, with an operating temperature range of -52°C to +177°C, fully complying with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard. Utilizing the principle of high-frequency electromagnetic eddy currents, it converts the change in physical clearance between the probe tip and the surface of the rotor journal being measured into a bias voltage signal with a high signal-to-noise ratio (standard sensitivity 7.87 V/mm), providing stable and reliable vibration monitoring data for online protection monitors (such as the Bentley 3500 system).

Features:

  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes
  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
  • 330103 3300 XL 8 mm Probe, M10 x 1 thread, without armor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

The 330103-00-25-05-02-BR Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
