Information

Overview Manuals Basic Info Instruction Key Industrial Applications

Features:

  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes
  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
  • 330104 3300 XL 8 mm Probe, M10 x 1 thread,with armor
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

The 330104-00-10-05-01-BR Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Steam Turbines and Gas Turbines: Monitor the dynamic characteristics of high-speed rotor shafts to verify whether thermal expansion or extreme operating forces will cause the rotor to contact the stator housing.
Centrifugal Compressors: Track rapidly changing radial vibrations and axial thrust displacements to prevent catastrophic internal surges or impeller impacts.
Large Industrial Pumps: Used in high-pressure boiler feed pumps and fluid pipeline pumps to detect early bearing wear, shaft misalignment, or rotor imbalance.
Gearboxes and Generators: Measure high-frequency shaft motion and structural displacements under various electrical or mechanical loads.

Technical notes
