Overview Manuals Main Features Environmental Limits

Features:

  • 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module
  • Bently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring
  • The 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module is a half-height, two-channel module
The 3500/25 Enhanced Keying Module is a half-height, dual-channel module used to provide keying signals to monitoring modules in the 3500 rack. This module receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts them into digital keying signals to indicate when the keying marker on the axis coincides with the keying sensor. The 3500 mechanical protection system can receive up to four keying signals in normal configuration and up to eight keying signals in paired configuration.

The Enhanced Keying Module is an improved version of the 3500 system. Compared to the previous design, it offers more powerful keying signal processing capabilities while remaining fully compatible with existing keying modules in terms of form factor, size, and functionality, and can be used in legacy systems. Keying module PWA 125792-01 has been completely replaced by the updated 149369-01 module.

The 125800-01 Bently Nevada Keyphasor I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

This isolated keyed phase I/O module is designed for applications where:

keyed phase signals are connected in parallel to multiple devices and require isolation from other systems, such as control systems. This isolated I/O module is designed for magnetic pickup applications but is also compatible with Proximitor* applications, providing isolation for Proximitor* applications as long as an external power supply is available. The primary purpose of this I/O module is to measure shaft speed, not phase. While this module can also perform phase measurements, it introduces a slightly higher phase shift compared to non-isolated I/O modules.
  • Operating Temperature
  • -30°C to +65°C (-22°F to +150°F) when used with Keyphasor I/O Module other than the Internal Barrier version. 0°C to +65°C (32°F to +150°F) when used with Keyphasor Internal Barrier I/O Module (Internal Termination).
  • StorageTemperature: -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F)
  • Humidity: 95%, non-condensing

Ask our team:

  • What functional purpose does the 125800-01 module serve within the Bently Nevada 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor architecture?
125800-01 is a Keyphasor I/O module with internal terminations that receives raw analog transducer signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and conditions them into digital Keyphasor timing pulses used as phase/timing references by 3500 monitoring modules.
  • How does the signal interface of 125800-01 accommodate shaft-timing transducers for high-resolution phase detection?
The 125800-01 accepts Keyphasor input signals from eddy-current displacement probes or magnetic pickups, converting once-per-revolution or multi-event per revolution pulses into digital timing references that support accurate shaft speed and phase measurement in the 3500 system.
  • How many channels does 125800-01 support, and what does this mean for multi-sensor configurations?
The 125800-01 provides two buffered input channels for Keyphasor or timing transducers, enabling dual-sensor redundancy or multiple reference signal acquisition in a single half-height slot.
  • What are the electrical input and output characteristics of 125800-01, and how do they influence interfacing with field devices?
125800-01 typically accepts input signals in the range of +0.8 V to –21.0 V DC for non-isolated configurations, and its buffered outputs feature a maximum impedance of ~504 Ω, ensuring robust drive capability for downstream monitoring modules.
  • What are the typical power consumption and environmental limits of 125800-01 in industrial deployment?
The 125800-01 has a nominal power consumption of ~3.2 W and is designed to operate reliably within a broad industrial range (e.g., ~0 °C to +65 °C with non-condensing humidity), making it suitable for high-availability rotating machinery monitoring applications.
  • In what ways does 125800-01 support legacy compatibility and system upgrades?
As part of the 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor family, 125800-01 maintains electrical and mechanical backward compatibility with previous Keyphasor modules, allowing seamless upgrades in existing 3500 installations without reengineering existing signal plant cabling or diagnostics logic.
