The 136188-02 Ethernet interface operates at 10 Mbps to IEEE 802.3 and uses an RJ-45 10BASE-T connection. The 3500/92 gateway supports Ethernet TCP/IP and Modbus/TCP, allowing configured rack data to be exchanged with compatible control, historian or gateway hosts.
Confirm network addressing, protocol selection and the plant-side communications design against the current gateway configuration before service.
The RS485 interface supports serial Modbus RTU, while the Ethernet interface supports Modbus/TCP. The 3500/92 main module determines register mapping and communications behavior, so replacement of 136188-02 must preserve the documented port settings, addressing and host map.
Record the live configuration before removing the module and validate communication after reinstallation.
Install 136188-02 in the full-height rear slot assigned to the 3500/92 gateway I/O module. Confirm the main-module part number, rear-slot keying, Ethernet or RS485 cabling and configured protocol before power is restored.
The published operating range is −30 to +65 °C with 95% noncondensing humidity; preserve rack ventilation, grounding and cable routing during maintenance.
