Features:
- 3500/05 System Rack To Mount
- Prevents accidental contact with live backplanes, reducing the risk of electric shock
- Typically made of anodized aluminum (black or industrial gray), it can withstand harsh industrial environments
The 3500 system rack design can accommodate all 3500 monitoring modules and rack power supplies. It allows the individual 3500 modules to communicate with each other, and the power supply can distribute power to each module as needed.
The power supply and rack interface modules must be installed in the leftmost rack position. The remaining 14 rack positions (7 for mini racks) can be used to install any combination of modules.
The 3500/05-01-01-00-00-01 Bently Nevada System rack to mount may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The Bently Nevada 3500/05 rack serves as the "hardware motherboard" and "communication hub" of the entire monitoring system. Through an integrated high-density backplane bus, it provides stable power distribution and high-speed data channels for all inserted modules (such as power supplies, rack interface modules, and various monitors).
1. Power Generation:
Turbine Protection: Monitors vibration, thrust, and overspeed conditions in steam turbines, gas turbines, and water turbines.
Renewable Energy: Protects gearboxes and generators in remote or offshore wind turbines.
Nuclear Power: Provides highly reliable, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) monitoring for main cooling pumps and turbine units.
2. Oil and Gas:
Upstream and Offshore: Monitors drilling and production machinery on platforms where space is limited but reliability is critical.
Midstream and Refining: Protects large centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, and expanders in hydrocarbon processing facilities.
3. Manufacturing and Processing:
Pulp and Paper: Monitors large rollers and drying drums to prevent unplanned downtime on continuous production lines.
Mining: Protects heavy-duty crushers, blowers, and conveyor drives from mechanical failures caused by extreme vibrations.
Water and Wastewater: Ensures the proper functioning of high-flow pumps and aeration blowers in utility treatment plants.
