The ECU01.5 accurately monitors process parameters, supports automated control operations, and provides scalable interfaces to expand input/output capacity, enabling seamless integration with complex industrial networks. Its modular design ensures flexibility, supporting both small systems and large-scale distributed automation architectures.
Furthermore, the ECU01.5 integrates advanced diagnostics, status indicators, and fault detection mechanisms, enhancing operational reliability and system transparency. It maintains high signal fidelity even under various environmental conditions, including voltage fluctuations, electromagnetic interference, and mechanical vibration. With deterministic signal processing and robust communication capabilities, the ECU01.5 supports predictive maintenance, efficient troubleshooting, and optimized process control.
The ECU01.5 EMG Control Panel module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Functionally, the ECU01.5 works by receiving electrical signals from connected sensors or devices, conditioning and filtering the signals, and then converting them into high-precision digital data. This data is transmitted to the central control system, which simultaneously receives control commands and converts them into corresponding output signals for use by actuators or other field devices. The internal processing logic of ECU01.5 ensures deterministic response, continuous self-diagnosis, and reliable data communication, thereby achieving precise and stable operation in industrial automation systems.
This module is typically integrated into the following industrial environments:
Strip Edge and Center Guiding: Used in uncoilers, rewinders, and guide rollers to ensure that metal strips (steel, aluminum, etc.) always maintain perfect alignment. This prevents edge damage during high-speed conveying and ensures neat winding.
Metalworking Production Lines: Commonly found in pickling lines, galvanizing lines, and cold rolling mills, where stable material flow is crucial for product quality.
System Integration: Can be used as a remote terminal for digital control amplifiers (such as EMG iCON® and traditional SPC16 systems). It allows operators to view real-time measurements and adjust control parameters directly through the control cabinet door.
