The FTA module features a universal snap-fit design suitable for standard DIN EN rails, and is equipped with screw terminals for connecting field wiring.
Sixteen channels (divided into two groups of eight, with a 250 mA fuse on the common positive terminal) can be connected to the FS-TSDI16UNI module via the System Interconnect Cable (SIC). This cable inserts into the SIC connector on the FTA module.
The FS-TSDI-16UNI Honeywell Safe digital input FTA module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The FS-TSDI-16UNI Field Terminal Assembly Module (FTA) is the interface between the System Interconnect Cable (SIC) and external field wiring (screw terminals).
General Input Monitoring: Connects to a variety of digital field sensors, including dry contacts, PNP/NPN transistors, and NAMUR sensors.
Emergency Stop (ESD): Processes signals from critical inputs such as emergency stop buttons, high-pressure switches, and level switches to trigger safety logic.
Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS): Deployed in SIL3-level loops in oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation facilities where input reading errors could lead to hazardous events.
Burner Management: Monitors limit switches and flame scanners to ensure safe ignition and operating sequences.
