Features:
- Non-contact measurement system based on eddy-current principle
- Ex certified versions for use in hazardous areas(potentially explosive atmospheres)
- Voltage or current output with protection against short circuits
The TQ402 and TQ412 transducers can be matched with a single EA402 extension cable to effectively lengthen the front-end. Optional housings, junction boxes and interconnection protectors are available for the mechanical and environmental protection of the connection between the integral and extension cables. TQ4xx-based proximity measurement systems can be powered by associated machinery monitoring systems such as VM600Mk2/VM600 modules (cards) or VibroSmart® modules, or by another power supply.
The TQ402/TQ412, EA402 and IQS900 form a proximity measurement system, from Meggitt’s vibro-meter® product line. This proximity measurement system allows contactless measurement of the relative displacement of moving machine elements.
The EA402 913-402-000-013 Vibro-Meter Proximity Extension Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
In vibration measurement systems, all components of the proximity sensor must be calibrated for accurate matching. A rule of thumb is: total system length = sensor integrated cable length + EA402 extension cable length. Using a length beyond the specified calibration range will introduce signal errors at the signal conditioner.
Signal Shielding: Utilizes a high-quality fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) coaxial cable core, providing superior electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection.
High Temperature Design: Withstands peak temperatures up to +220°C, optimized for high-temperature environments near rotating turbines.
Mechanical Tolerances: Minimum bend radius of 20 mm for bare wire, or 50 mm when encased in robust steel conduit.
