Information

Overview Manuals Principle

Features:

  • 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
  • The 3300 XL probe and extension cable also reflect improvements over previous designs
The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space.

The 330180-91-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
Bently Nevada 330180-91-05 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

Ask our team:

  • What functional signal-conditioning architecture defines the operational behavior of 330180-91-05 within a 3300 XL proximity transducer system?
The 330180-91-05 functions as a Proximitor® sensor module that converts high-frequency impedance variations from an 8 mm eddy-current probe into a calibrated analog voltage output proportional to shaft displacement and vibration.
  • How does the internal oscillator and demodulation circuitry of 330180-91-05 ensure accurate conversion of electromagnetic field fluctuations?
The 330180-91-05 integrates a precision high-frequency oscillator and phase-sensitive demodulation circuitry to stabilize probe signal transformation while preserving linear response characteristics and minimizing noise-induced distortion.
  • What calibration methodology governs the sensitivity accuracy of 330180-91-05?
The 330180-91-05 is factory-calibrated with a predefined scale factor aligned to the matched probe and extension cable configuration, ensuring consistent voltage-per-displacement conversion across its specified linear operating range.
  • Why is probe–cable–sensor impedance matching essential for maintaining system accuracy when deploying 330180-91-05?
The performance of 330180-91-05 depends on a defined total cable length and impedance configuration; deviations from the specified setup can alter gain stability, phase response, and overall measurement fidelity.
  • How does 330180-91-05 mitigate electromagnetic interference in high-power rotating machinery installations?
The 330180-91-05 incorporates shielded circuit design, optimized grounding paths, and EMI suppression techniques to reduce susceptibility to external electrical noise from turbines, generators, and drive systems.
  • How does the frequency bandwidth of 330180-91-05 enable detection of dynamic rotor behavior?
The 330180-91-05 supports a broad frequency response capable of capturing synchronous vibration, sub-synchronous instability, and transient displacement events in high-speed rotating equipment.
