The Mark VIeS Functional Safety Analog Input /Output (I/O) module provides an interface between the process analog sensors / actuators (10 analog inputs and two analog outputs) and the Mark VIeS Safety control logic. The Analog I/O module consists of two orderable parts: the Analog I/Opack and the Analog I/Oterminal board.
All safety Analog I/O modules use the same Analog I/Opack, IS420YAICS1B. There are two DIN-rail mounted Analog I/Oterminal boards available to provide the necessary redundancy and terminal block styles. Users can select the configuration that best addresses their needs for availability and SIL level. The Analog I/O module is available in both Simplex and Triple Modular Redundant(TMR) configurations.
The IS420YAICS1B GENERAL ELECTRIC Analog I/O Pack Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The IS420YAICS1B assembly is designed for mounting on specific DIN rail terminal blocks for connecting load resistors required for voltage drop sensing:
IS410STAIS2A: For standard simplex architectures.
IS410TBAIIS1C: For multi-channel triple modular redundancy (TMR) systems.
SIL-Rated Safety Function: The "S" designation in the part number indicates compatibility with Mark VIeS functional safety infrastructure. It employs a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) resolution, ensuring input accuracy of 0.1% of full scale for critical safety trip logic.
Triple Module Redundancy (TMR): It supports independent simplex (1 module) and high-availability TMR (3 modules operating in parallel) configurations. In TMR settings, the master controller uses hardware voting logic to select the intermediate value, automatically discarding any drifting or out-of-range sensor readings.
Physical Connector: Network telemetry data is transmitted directly back to the IONet switch ring via dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports. It is physically connected to the terminal block via a robust DC-37 pin D-sub connector.
Hardware Misuse Alarm: This is the S1B hardware version. According to GE's operating manual, this package version is incompatible with the older IS420YAICS1A package on the same underlying terminal block.
