The core function of this module is to provide highly stable, precise, controllable, and electrically isolated power support for the gate drive circuits of critical power conversion components in the system.
It establishes a secure energy transmission bridge between the logic control side and the high-voltage power supply execution side, ensuring that high-power semiconductor devices receive a clean, transient-free trigger power supply, thereby achieving efficient and precise excitation speed regulation of gas turbines and steam turbine generator sets.

During normal operation, the circuit board's inputs receive an AC or DC reference power supply from the system's power distribution bus. Through onboard rectification, filtering, and high-frequency inverter transformer circuitry, the raw power supply is converted into multiple fully electrically isolated low-voltage DC outputs.
This high-purity DC power supply is directly provided to the gate drive amplifier circuits of high-power IGBTs or thyristors. When the upper-level controller issues a switching command, this power supply can provide sufficient transient pulse current to overcome the gate junction capacitance of the power devices.
1. Thyristor Bridge Trigger Control
Working Principle: Generator excitation requires precisely timed electronic pulses to control the switching of high currents.
Circuit Board Function: The IS200IGPAG2AED ensures the gate driver board has instantaneous isolated power, enabling clean and efficient control of high-power thyristors and achieving smooth AC/DC conversion.
2. Generator Rotor Excitation
The IGPA circuit board supplies power to the gating system that regulates this excitation circuit.
By precisely executing trigger commands, it enables the excitation system to quickly adjust the voltage according to grid demand, achieving precise grid synchronization and stabilizing the local grid.
3. Rapid Load Demagnetization and Forced Voltage
The IGPA board's precise power point tracking (PTC) function allows the system to force a negative voltage onto the rotor magnetic field using inverting thyristor bridge logic, causing the generator's magnetic field to collapse within milliseconds.
