Features:
- Ethernet Communication Module
- FBM232 Field Device System Integrator Module, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, Single
- The FBM232 is connected to Ethernet switches or hubs in order to communicate with one external device or up to 64 external devices.
The FBM232 P0926GW is a fieldbus module designed for distributed control systems, providing reliable communication and signal acquisition from field devices. Its primary function is to interact with digital input signals from external devices such as switches, sensors, and status contacts, enabling the control system to monitor operational status in real time. The FBM232 integrates multiple channels into a single module, simplifying system architecture and reducing wiring complexity in industrial installations.
This module is typically deployed in process industries such as oil and gas, power generation, and chemicals, where distributed I/O architectures are widely adopted. Its robust design and integrated diagnostics ensure stable operation under harsh environmental conditions, while supporting efficient maintenance and troubleshooting.
The FBM232 P0926GW Invensys Foxboro Ethernet Communication Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The module's input circuitry detects input signals from connected field devices and converts them to digital logic levels. These signals are then processed by the module's internal electronics and encapsulated into communication frames, which are then transmitted to the distributed control system via a fieldbus network. Through continuous signal scanning, isolation, and protocol-based data transmission, the module ensures that field status information is accurately and promptly transmitted to the control system.
