Features:
- High-durability termination cable
- Foxboro I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS)
- Provides a secure and reliable industrial-grade connection between fieldbus modules (FBMs) and DIN rail-mounted terminal components.
It simplifies the aggregation of multiple temperature signals through standardized terminal blocks and integrates seamlessly with Foxboro I/A series systems, ensuring accurate and real-time transmission of thermal parameters during production to the control center.
This component is designed with particular emphasis on resistance to low-voltage signal interference and environmental adaptability. It typically employs a robust housing and optimized shielded wiring structure to effectively suppress common-mode and differential-mode interference common in industrial environments, ensuring that micro-ohmic resistance changes generated by platinum or copper resistors are not masked by noise.
The P0916VM Invensys Foxboro Termination cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The P0916VM serves as the physical adaptation layer and initial signal conditioning center for resistance signals. Field-side RTD signals enter this terminal assembly via three- or four-wire connections. Its internal circuitry employs precise conduction paths to guide the resistance signals from each channel to the system interface, thereby reducing the impact of connection point contact resistance on measurement accuracy. During signal transmission to the FBM module, this component utilizes its backplane circuitry for signal routing and classification, while an integrated filtering network eliminates high-frequency electromagnetic noise, ensuring that the analog signal is converted to a digital signal in its pure, original state, and then temperature linearization compensation is performed by the controller.
- Signal Conditioning Interface: Connects the FBM to an active termination component that provides necessary signal processing (e.g., optical isolation, current limiting, and noise reduction).
- Redundant System Connection: Connects a pair of redundant FBMs to a single common termination component using a redundant adapter (RH101AZ).
- Hazardous Area Integration: Enables safe communication between field devices and the control room in systems requiring Class I Zone 2 or Zone 2 explosive atmosphere certification.
- Industrial Process Monitoring: Typically used in conjunction with modules such as the FBM216b redundant HART input module for monitoring continuous signals from transmitters and sensors (e.g., flow, level, pressure) in refineries and chemical plants.
