Product Information:

The 330180-X1-05 MOD: 143416-02 is a custom module for the Bently Nevada 3300 XL series proximity sensors. As the core electrical conversion component of a non-contact eddy current displacement sensor system, it provides high-frequency AC excitation energy to the field probe and converts the impedance change returned from the probe end face into a dynamic voltage output proportional to the mechanical clearance (standard values are 7.87 V/mm or 200 mV/mil).

This preamplifier is widely used in online protection systems for shaft vibration, axial displacement, and speed in critical rotating machinery such as centrifugal compressors and large steam turbines. According to its selection code, 330180 represents the 3300 XL preamplifier hardware platform, compatible with standard 5mm and 8mm 3300 series probes.

Option X1 represents the total length of the sensor loop matched with this preamplifier (typically a 5.0-meter or 9.0-meter system calibration path, the length of which must be strictly matched to the total length of the field cable and probe). Option 05 grants it multi-national explosion-proof certifications (covering intrinsically safe explosion-proof under the ATEX, IECEx, and CSA frameworks), while the suffix MOD 143416-02 indicates that the manufacturer has specifically fine-tuned and customized the electrical characteristics for specific non-standard target materials or specific mechanical mounting dimensions/shielding requirements to ensure linearity and accuracy when measuring special rotor journals.

Information

Overview Manuals General Ordering Industrial operation

Features:

  • 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
  • 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
  • DIN Rail Mount Option (also backward-compatible with traditional 4-hole panel mounting configurations)
The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor incorporates numerous improvements over previous designs. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DIN-rail installations. You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration, where it shares an identical 4-hole mounting “footprint” with older Proximitor Sensor designs. The mounting base for either option provides electrical isolation and eliminates the need for separate isolator plates.

The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor is highly immune to radio frequency interference, allowing you to install it in fiberglass housings without adverse effects from nearby radio frequency signals. The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor’s improved RFI/EMI immunity satisfies European CE mark approvals without requiring special shielded conduit or metallic housings, resulting in lower installation costs and complexity.

The 330180-X1-05 MOD:143416-02 Bently Nevada 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

In actual industrial operation, this preamplifier module has extremely high immunity to electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference (RFI/EMI), meeting European CE certification standards without the need for special metal shielding conduits, thus significantly reducing field wiring costs. Its base design supports high-density DIN rail mounting and traditional four-hole panel mounting, and is equipped with SpringLoc spring terminals that can be installed without special tools, ensuring the stability of the physical connection under long-term high-frequency mechanical vibration. The voltage signal output of the preamplifier continuously feeds into the Bentley 3500 monitoring system, providing the host with millisecond-level overspeed and high-vibration trip interlock protection.
