Product Information:

The STAHL 9470/32-16-11 (part number: 210447) is a high-density, intrinsically safe digital input/output module (DIOM) designed for R. STAHL IS1+ remote I/O automation systems. It allows direct connection to field devices in highly explosive industrial environments.

Eight input channels support high-frequency counting and frequency measurement up to 20 kHz (configurable via four rotation direction identification groups). All channels feature in-line open-circuit and short-circuit fault monitoring and integrated full-channel electrical isolation. It supports extreme temperature environments from -40°C to +75°C and is hot-swappable, providing high-density distributed digital signal transmission protection for high-risk explosion-proof environments such as oil, chemical, and natural gas industries.

Overview Manuals Hazardous Area Specifications Electrical & Mechanical Profile

Features:

  • 16 channels can be used in pairs as inputs or outputs
  • Intrinsically safe Ex ia IIC inputs/outputs with line fault monitoring and an LED fault and status display for each channel
  • Module in Zone 1 can be replaced without having to disconnect the power supply (i.e. hot-swapped)
The 9470/32 digital input/output module for Zone 1 has 16 channels which can be used in pairs for Ex i operation as inputs for contacts and NAMUR proximity switches (EN 60947-5-6) or as outputs for indicator lamps and low-power solenoid valves. Eight inputs can be used for frequencies of up to 20 kHz, and four can be used for detecting the direction of rotation. All inputs/outputs are short-circuit proof and galvanically separated from the system.

The R. STAHL 9470/32-16-11 can be directly installed in Zone 1 hazardous areas; it features 16 highly flexible physical channels (each configurable as a NAMUR proximity switch, passive contact input, low-power solenoid valve, or indicator output); and 8 input channels supporting high-frequency counting and frequency measurement up to 20 kHz (with 4 configurable groups for identifying rotation direction).

The 9470/32-16-11 R-STAHL Digital input/output module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
