Features:
- 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
- 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System
- DIN Rail Mount Option (also backward-compatible with traditional 4-hole panel mounting configurations)
The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor incorporates numerous improvements over previous designs. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DIN-rail installations. You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration, where it shares an identical 4-hole mounting “footprint” with older Proximitor Sensor designs. The mounting base for either option provides electrical isolation and eliminates the need for separate isolator plates.
The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor is highly immune to radio frequency interference, allowing you to install it in fiberglass housings without adverse effects from nearby radio frequency signals. The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor’s improved RFI/EMI immunity satisfies European CE mark approvals without requiring special shielded conduit or metallic housings, resulting in lower installation costs and complexity.
The 330180-X2-05 MOD: 163358-02 Bently Nevada 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

1.Alternative Shaft Material Profile Analysis: Used for critical turbomachinery shafts manufactured from special alloys such as Inconel, Monel, 17-4 PH stainless steel, or high-strength aerospace aluminum. This module modifies the internal bridge network to maintain a highly accurate linear 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm) voltage output relative to non-standard shaft chemistry.
2.Chromium-Plated or Coated Shaft Segments: This function is available when the eddy current proximity probe is aimed at specific shaft segment locations with thick industrial chrome plating, plasma-sprayed ceramic, or rust-resistant coatings.
3.Centrifugal Gas Compressors: Monitors extremely high-frequency radial shaft vibrations, early rotor dynamic instabilities, and critical oil film vortex or whiplash behavior within the compressor housing.
4.Industrial Steam and Gas Turbines: Used as a primary interlock sensor to measure dynamic radial displacement (oil film health) and low-speed axial thrust position, ensuring the turbine rotor does not move forward or backward, thus avoiding impact to stationary stator blades.
5.Key Phase Velocity Monitoring: Synchronous phase angle diagnostic data acquisition is achieved by aligning a dedicated velocity sensing circuit with precision-machined keyways or grooves on the rotating shaft.
6.High-Density OEM Custom Housing (-X2): Widely used by turbomachinery OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) due to the X2 code's exposed, component-independent baseplate, eliminating the need for standard DIN rail clips or bulky panel mount modules. They integrate these original modules into ultra-high-density, custom-designed housings or pre-wired patch panels to minimize panel footprint.
7.Hazardous Environment Infrastructure (-05): Mandatory for use in flammable and explosive areas of chemical refineries, LNG receiving terminals, offshore drilling platforms, and hydrogen processing units, thanks to its extensive and universal certifications (CSA, ATEX, and IECEx). It can be safely connected to intrinsically safe barriers within Zone 2 or Class I Zone 2 processing areas.
