Common Use Cases
Features:
- Environment-friendly cadmium-free contacts
- Wide range of Sockets (PY, PYF Series) and optional parts
- Max. Switching Current: 2-pole: 10 A, 4-pole: 5 A
Its primary function is as a "relay station" for signal amplification and logic isolation, allowing large loads to be driven with relatively small control currents. It features four sets of changeover contacts (4PDT), enabling simultaneous control of four independent circuits.
The relay utilizes a transparent housing and built-in LED indicators for convenient and quick diagnosis of contact status and current type. It is widely used in automated production lines, elevator systems, and smart home control boxes.
The MY4NJ Omron Miniature Power Relay may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Its operating principle is based on electromagnetic induction. When control current flows through the internal coil, the generated magnetic field attracts the armature, overcoming spring force to drive the moving contact, thus switching between "normally open" and "normally closed" contacts. After the coil is de-energized, the magnetic force disappears, and the armature returns to its initial position under the action of the return spring, achieving safe switching and physical isolation of the controlled circuit.
- Multi-level Synchronous Control: Simultaneously control four independent heating zones or fans in an industrial dryer using a single relay.
- Logic AND/OR Circuits: Create hard-wired logic circuits where multiple conditions must be met before the machine can start.
- Sensor Integration: Connect two-wire reed switches or proximity sensors to relays to trigger larger mechanical actions.
- Warehouse Automation: Manage independent circuits for intelligent warehouse lighting and security systems, providing visual status feedback via built-in LEDs.
