These accelerometers are suitable for critical mechanical applications requiring the measurement of housing acceleration, such as gear meshing monitoring. The Model 330400 accelerometer is designed to meet the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard for accelerometers. It has a peak amplitude range of 50 g and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The Model 330425 accelerometer is similar, but has a larger peak amplitude range (75 g) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.
The 16710-30 Bently Nevada Interconnect Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

If housing measurements are performed for comprehensive machine protection, the applicability of the measurement results to each application should be considered. Most common machine failures (imbalance, misalignment, etc.) originate from the rotor and cause increased (or at least altered) rotor vibration. For any individual housing measurement to effectively protect the entire machine, it is essential to ensure that rotor vibration is accurately transmitted to the bearing housing or housing, and more specifically, to the sensor's mounting location.
This cable is designed for transmitting sensitive acceleration signals in heavy industrial environments:
Accelerometer Interface: It is the standard cable for connecting Bently Nevada 330400 and 330425 accelerometers to monitoring systems.
Remote Monitoring: The 30-foot length is ideal for applications where the sensor is mounted on large machinery (such as steam turbines or large centrifugal compressors), and the junction box or 3500 Series rack is located at a distance.
Casing Vibration Analysis: For high-speed machinery, measuring casing acceleration (G) is crucial for detecting gear meshing problems or blade pass-through frequency.
Harsh Mechanical Environments: The integrated stainless steel armor makes it suitable for "open" installations, allowing it to function even if the cable is stepped on, crushed, or exposed to debris splashed from factory floors or oil drilling platforms.
